The unofficial end of summer arrives this weekend, with Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest, a three-day FREE music extravaganza in Downtown Fort Collins. This annual event was once intended to be Fort Collins’ birthday party, and while it’s hard to find mention of that these days, we still intend to celebrate. And eat cake. Possibly constructed from Dole Whip and cotton candy.
One of the reasons for the revelry, as far as we’re concerned, is the festival’s emphasis on Colorado music. While popular national headliners like Steve Miller Band and Rodrigo y Gabriela will draw plenty of attention, our heart belongs to the dozens of local acts that will take the various stages throughout the weekend.
Including, of course, several beloved SpokesBUZZ bands. You’ll see lots of terrific music in Old Town this weekend, but if you’re looking for a sure thing, here are the SpokesBUZZ current and alumni acts performing at Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest 2015!

On The Horizon
- BEFORE all the Bohemian Nights NewWestFest-ing gets started, don’t forget to stop by for Thursday night’s Magnolia Sessions house party with Qbala!
- After Steve Miller really loves our peaches on Saturday, August 15 — the community can really love them again the following Saturday, August 22 at the Fort Collins Peach Festival (American Blackout AND Winchester Holiday perform)
- The Fort Collins portion of the US Pro Cycling Challenge will be livened up by live music from Pandas & People at the finish festival in Old Town Square on Saturday 8/22.
- And meanwhile, in Denver, the Higher Ground Music Festival will welcome Red Fox Run, Chemistry Club, Slow Caves and The Patti Fiasco on, you guessed it — Saturday. 8/22.
That’s just the tip of the end-of-summer iceberg, so stay tuned!
P.S. don’t forget to mark your calendars and join us at the SpokesBUZZ Pool Party on August 28 at the Fort Collins Country Club.
